Congregation Shir Shalom welcomes the Jewish New Year on Rosh Hashanah and observes the 10 Days of Awe.  We require no tickets or fees.  You and your family are welcome to join us.

Selichot Worship: Saturday, September 17, 2017

8pm:  Selichot Worship.  While we are all imperfect in our relationships with each other and the Divine, Judaism teaches that we are all capable of change.  Repentance and forgiveness are essential parts of our view of ourselves, the world, and of the Jewish year.  The selichot service helps us to focus on our behavior and relationships as we approach the Days of Awe, the period between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

Erev Rosh Hashanah: Wednesday, September 20, 2017

6pm:  Service followed by Potluck Oneg

Rosh Hashanah First Day: Thursday, September 21, 2017

10am-1pm:  Rosh HaShanah morning worship led by Rabbi Ilene Haigh, followed by Tashlich. Child care available at morning service.

Rosh Hashanah Second Day: Friday, September 22, 2017

10am: Minyan (no formal service). Please feel free to join us in tefillah.

Kol Nidre:  Friday, September 29, 2017

7:30-9pm:  Erev Yom Kippur Worship

Yom Kippur: Saturday, September 30, 2017

10am-1:30pm:   Yom Kippur Morning Worship including Yizkor

2-3pm:  Meditative Hike up Mount Tom from

5-8pm:  Ne’ilah Service.  Concluding service followed by community break-the-fast potluck.
